Title: How can I group elements?
Post by: danj on April 03, 2015, 04:55:18 PM
I have 16 mini trees I am sequencing mostly in LOR then importing into XL4.   I also have two RGB megatrees and six RGB arches that I would like to group as one entity so I could apply WHM effects to the megatrees and arches while leaving the minitrees "out" of the group.   Is there a video that would show me how to do this maybe??  Thanks in advance!!

You don't need a video.  Just turn part of my display so that the only things that are showing in the preview are the RGB elements.  Then create the whole house model.  I named my "WH RGB only"  since I had a another whole house model that included everything.  After you create the rgb only model go back and turn on the check mark for part of my display so that all the models show up in the preview.

Thanks Jim.   I'll do just that.   Would not have thought of that....

Ok I created this video this morning just for you...at the end there is a bonus section showing new drag and drop and cut and paste improvements some which are in last night's release and others that will be coming out next.

Wow.  Thanks Gil.   Didn't realize that functionality was there.   Thanks so much for the very informative video.   I now have grouped my incan minitrees, my RGB megatrees, my RGB arches, and combinations of these into groups and WHMs.    I really appreciate the info!!!
