Title: Debug Report
Post by: Phrog30 on April 04, 2015, 05:34:33 PM
When trying to add an effect.  I just created a new file, created some models (windows), this happens when dragging effect into timing mark. This happens every time, tried 5 times. Only way to close is end task.

I assume you're using version 4.0.14?
Have you been using any of the other recent versions so we know if this behavior just started happening?
I copied the files from your debug report and I can drop effects without a crash so not sure what's wrong.

Using 4.13.  This is brand new laptop, so fresh install, started from scratch.  I will try 4.14.

We did fix a few possible drag and drop crash scenarios in version 4.0.14 and that's the type of crash you had so hopefully its fixed in the new version.

Installed latest, I didn't get a crash this time while placing an effect, but did get one when I closed the app (without saving).  Tried a second time, it didn't crash.

Gil, I mentioned before how when placing effects on windows as a group the effects are not the same.  Please try and duplicate this with the files I sent the last time.  Simply place the bar effect and notice how the lower windows are different than the upper (the effect isn't symmetrical).  Now, the windows are different, but I don't remember this being a problem with XL3.

I took a look and the problem is in your model setup.  You have every window starting at channel 1 so all the windows will look like copies of each other.

Thanks Gil.  Sorry, I was unaware that hardware setup mattered.  I guess I'm used to Vixen 3.
