We are offering a 12V/5V ATX conversion board in kit form. This board is made with 3oz copper is designed for high 12V current applications. We use the two PCIe connectors, P4 connector, two hard drive connectors and 24 pin connector to supply high current to the three 12V connectors. There is a power LED and one 5V (2amps) connector.

What are some common uses for this? (powers which boards, etc)
With a PC PS, is this a good solution for FPD, and what case would the ATX board, the FPD, and the PS?
Thanks

If you are familiar with the DLA hubs, you are aware that that they have 24-pin connectors, and 4-pin connectors that allow you to use cheap PC power supplies by using the connectors intended for the motherboard, and connectors intended for CD and hard drives.
The DLA solution lock you into PC power supplies because of these connectors.
The Falcon boards, and other kits out there use a simpler screwdown terminal connector... 2 wires for +12V and Ground.
If you still want to use PC power supplies to get cheap +12V and even +5V power, then an ATX kit like this does the conversion from the PC power supply connectors, and its own screwdown terminal connectors.
So, using a kit like this and a PC power supply you get +12V (and +5V) power useable for various kits.

If you ever get over to my house, I will show you all the choices. I think I have at least one of everything.
