There is no support for Vixen 3 at this time. But developers have said they are looking to include support this year.

I don't know much (yet) but V3 looks like pretty easy workflow...I hope the compatibility issues get worked out within a few months so it is a viable option...good thing is my brain is a blank canvas, so I'm not going to have to switch from an older format/technology...push comes to shove, as I understand it from the latest webcast, xlnc can sequence rgb, standard led, and dmx...so might not even need to learn another sequencer/scheduler

vixen 3 has a very nice ui. they have a team of very smart developers.
the last two years, i just used xl/nc to sequence my show. this was easier in that 98% of my show is smart rgb.

Has this been addressed? I an interested in using FFP to play stuff. It is unclear from my reading if support for Vixen3 has been added?

Vixen 3 has native support for exporting to .fseq files for FPP. It can also export directly to Vixen 2.x format as well I believe. There are quite a few FPP users who sequence in Vixen 3.

That is really good to now. Glad I asked the question.

So, why not simply export a Vixen 3 sequences as a fseq file, then use xLights to convert it to a xseq file? Worked flawlessly for me.
Now that I have an xseq file, I can convert it to clipboard and import it into LOR.
Easy Peasy

Yeah that was mentioned in post #5. The thread title was created back in January 2014 when the fpp export in Vixen did not exist yet.

Hi Robocrash ;
remember in xlights 4.0 there are no more xseq files.
we have now standardized on fseq as teh file that xlights uses and the fpp uses.
in your example, have vixen3 make a fseq and then just use the CONVERT tab and change it into a lcb or lms file.

dpitts: Thanks. I'm still new to both Lights and Vixen, so I didn't understand why the first entry in this thread said that there is no support. Seemed pretty easy to me. Makes sense now.
Sean: Yes, I have been paying attention for the last couple months. Really looking forward to the new release and I understand that xseq is going away. Just fooling around while I wait for the new releases. I appreciate the tip!
