I followed the steps on Dan's recent video as far as I can tell.
1. I created a new sequence, selected the MP3 file and then skipped .
I then used the Import / Import effects tab/option and selected an LMS file.
However , none of my existing models are shown (ie clicking the arrow shows nothing).
Therefore I cant proceed as I get an error message 'Could not find a model or group named' if I click on the Add Model for Import.
I do have models and model groups which are working quite well (see attached screen print). I was hoping to be able to import only effects pertaining to Singing faces from the LMS file.
If I press Enter a couple of times after getting the message it produced the following debug report.
Also - it displays a message indicating the location where the debug report will be created eg "C:\Users\nnnn\AppData\Local\xLightsnnnn" but does not create it there at all. Instead it created it in the Show Dir location.

Did you add the models you want into the current sequence? It will only allow importing into models you have added into the current sequence.

hello Dan,
I am a bit puzzled with your post (re 'add the models you want in the current sequence'), so I went and watched the video yet again.
The models in the new sequence are the same as what I already have - ie they are visible in the background of the screen print that I have attached which then also shows no models to select from in the import. I have an existing model 'Singing faces' with several nodes defined ie one for outline etc and I was hoping that the new functionality would enable me to select corresponding channels from the LMS file to import.
Or have I misunderstood ?

I believe the drop-down for the import code is only going to show you models that you've added to the Sequencer grid....NOT every model you have added to the Preview page. So you need to go to the Sequencer page and set it up first by right-clicking on the timing track, selecting Edit Display Elements, and then Add the models that you plan to use for this sequence. Then once they are available to receive effect on the sequencer page they will show up in the Import selection drop-down.

Thank you Gilrock,
Will try that . (Irrespective of this issue), I did not realize that the setup's were different , I thought that adding it to the sequencer was just for viewing / working with it there.
(I guess one carries over pre conceptions from other sequencers)
Will try as soon as I get home.
Thanks for the detailed clarification.

I was able to import the sequence following steps as suggested , plus with some help from nzlongfellow at the Sydney mini.
One has to double click a couple of times in the Channel column before the source input channels appear , but once you know about this , its simple.
Many thanks
