Version 4.1.13
Windows
I am trying to get two lines of text to be presented one below each other and moving upwards.
I defined it as per the attached screen prints.
I cant seem to find a way of offsetting the second line so that it starts under the first line. As a result both the lines being in the same position merge their text. Is there a Y position control ?
And after doing any change eg position , speed etc , Render All has to be clicked before any changes will display on the preview screen ? Did that anyway.

The last slider that says Position changes the Y position.

Doh ! :-[ :-[
Thanks Gil, I did try that out at some stage.
I guess I expected to see the change take effect straight away and it looked the same so assumed it was just changing the x position.
Realised that render all had to be pressed a bit later..
This effect does not crash on my laptop now , so thanks to Dan .

Hmmm,
I don't think it really worked. With a movement of Up for both lines , changing the position still changes the x orientation not the y orientation. Left one at 50 and tried diff values eg 70 for the other (against the matrix).
Also now if I change one the colour of one line it wont change until I click render all and then the other line change as well.

Well I know for horizontal text that slider moves the Y position and you add spaces to change the X position. So I'm guessing you need to do the reverse for vertical text.

Situation with scrolling text across a horizontal P10 panel matrix.
The words are being spoken in the soundtrack at the same time and I want the text to scroll at the same speed. I have the speed slider all the way to the right, but it is still not fast enough.
Any tricks to this other than making the text smaller?

Your 12x32 width panel is 384 pixels wide. That's a lot of pixels to move across.
Describe how you are creating the text effect.

+1
Charles,
What settings are you using and how long (in secs) does the text effect last for ?
Please post an image of the effects screen settings.

I need a few hours of silence to honor the resurrection of this thread.
