Title: Adding Video to my Sequences

How do I go about adding a video file to my XLights Nutcracker sequence?  Which video formats are accepted?  Can this be added directly in XLights or do I need to add my video in Audacity first?  Or do I begin doing this in LOR?

Hi,
How do you plan to use the video. For example, will you use it in addition to the audio and project it on a screen or do you want some of it to play on a say a matrix ?
If the latter than you use the ffmpeg utility to slice the video into frames and then use the picture effect.
If that is what you want to do, I will find the post with detailed instructions.
There was also a video done. Do check the wiki. Let me know.

Thanks, Gerry, for the quick response.  I want to do the former, to use video in addition to the audio and project it onto a screen.  I will also have two large matrixes but these are only for effects and text, not related to the video.  I will have two shows, one with video and non-synchronized audio/lights.  The second show will be synchronized (lights and music), and video will not be a part of this show.
