Title: Export Labels from Audacity
Post by: danj on August 21, 2015, 08:30:59 PM
I am using audacity's beat tracker to set timing for a song I am working on, but I am not able to export the label file.   Can someone please remind me how to do this in audacity?   I am missing some easy step I am sure....
Thanks

File -> Export Labels

Make sure you rename the Label track because the default name has a bad character that will cause it not to export.

Hi Dan,

See attached image in case Gils explanation is not sufficient.

You need to replace the name which has a colon and some dots in it (eg Bear and Beat Tracker: Bars....) with one that does not have the colon and maybe not the dots), and then you can export labels.

You don't get an error message , simply nothing happens

THANKS.   I knew it was something simple I was missing.    That worked.  I forgot about the naming convention....
