Going through the manual and the marquee effect is not listed. I supposed it is new.
It is the effect I need to do a running scroll across my eves. Hats off to whoever developed it

Yep I just added that last week. If you only needed to have that effect on a single line then you could have used the SingleStrand effect. I hadn't tried the Marquee on a single row but I assume it would work.
I do have a couple enhancements I'm thinking of. Like being able to offset the marquee from the edge and being able to scale the width and height. With those controls you could place multiple smaller marquees on a matrix or maybe you just want a small marquee down in the corner of a matrix you could use those settings to do that. Another option that would allow is to place multiple marquee effects with each one inside the previous one doing something different.

+1 for this Gil :)
Thanks, Ed

Going through the manual and the marquee effect is not listed.
As soon as the effect was released I added the placeholder in the manual, and Gerry followed up with filling in the information. Only problem is the updated manual hasn't been released yet. Steve can possibly give a timeline when he thinks the update will be available for everyone.

Ok I've got the new positioning settings done for the Marquee. Here's a sample GIF showing 4 marquee all placed on a matrix at the same time. You can see how they can now be positioned anywhere:

One thing to note is when you get the next version it's best to go through your sequence and find any marquee effects and click on them and hit Update so it will store the new defaults. Otherwise what I see happens is if you make position changes on a marquee and then start clicking on other ones that were created before these new options existed the program copies the settings from the last one you worked on.

Looks very nice Gil,
When you release this , could you please do a short video , explaining the options/attributes. I know that some of them read similar to other effects (eg offset in pixels) and therefore folks that have used (the other) effects previously when first released know what they mean, but many of us are new .

I'll see. Lately my audio hasn't been coming out good since I had to upgrade screencast-o-matic. But the new options are all pretty much self-explanatory. I could see the original options needing more explanation. These are just changing the scaling size or moving the x/y position. The position options were copied from Pictures. The offset in pixels can be used to dial in exact pixel offsets instead of using percentages where you might have trouble dialing in an exact offset. So its -100% to 100% when unchecked and -100 pixels to +100 pixels when checked. If you check Wrap X and move the X position you'll see how it wraps. The reason I've only provide an X wrap and not Y is mainly for 360 trees. A 360 tree is a matrix wrapped around a circle so there's a seam in the back. Using the WrapX you can make it look like there is no seam if you rotate the effect such that its crossing the seam.

Looking though github , I think that Gil meant :
Make any tweak to the effect (each one in the sequence) and that will cause it to update the settings of the effect . Don't use the F5 button.
