Title: How do I model a bunch of single strands?
Post by: rjm12rjm12 on September 10, 2015, 05:44:04 PM
Hi All,
I have 55 single strands that I hang on my house vertically, they are LOR channels (converted with an EPG-D2).  The channels are 97-112, 138-144 and 145-176, I created three VertMatrix.

                       Model 1      Model 2     Model 3
Actual #               16              7             32
# lights per           70            70             70
# of strands per      1              1               1
Start                     97          138           145

I then created a model group of "house", when I apply the "bars" effect section 1&2 all light once, and then section 3 behaves as I would expect, lighting on strand at a time.  Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?  Maybe I should create a custom model with individual channels?
Thanks,
Rob

Custom model would be pretty easy if you used Excel's fill capability, then paste into a custom model.

Each one is created as a matrix , but is actually a vertical line ?
When you drop the bars effect , are you doing it separately on each model  , or are you doing a group ?
And are the bars moving up/Down for each ? And have you tried to alter the speed of the bar effect ?

Thanks.  Sorry for late reply, I've been all over the place learning.  I just went with a VertMatrix, but individual start values and that works for now.
