I was on 04.01.08 and just recently upgraded to the newest release and found an issue.
I have 4 custom model candy canes that I normally run a single strand on you get the red and white effect. IN the new release it is broken and it will not work... It is weird it looks like it treats it as 3 sections of lights instead of 16 nodes.

You probably will have to post your XML files here do Gil and others can take a look at it.
