Last year I used xLights to add some RGB elements to my Halloween display and then saved everything back to LOR to use the LOR Playern and scheduler. ( I used FPP for Christmas 2014)
I hope to not have to completely redo everything for this year, partially because I am running out of time. My Sequences are a few years old and I added RGB and more LOR channels to them over the 3 years I have been doing Halloween. But the channels are intermixed LOR -DMX-LOR-DMX.
So last year the channel config was as follows:
Looking at the channel config (attached)
LOR Controller 1
LOR Controller 2
LOR Controller 3
DMX Universe 1 ch. 1-126
LOR Controller 4
LOR Controller 5
DMX Universe 1 ch. 127-183
The DMX is sent to 2 areas of the yard via Wireless DMX (Blizzard Lighting)
What would be the best way to build the channel configuration in xLights to get everything to map correctly.
I have attached the lcc file.

Pat,
I would use Universe 1 for all the LOR and DMX channels. Since you have the DMX already set (channels 1-183), then add an LOR entry with Universe 1 starting at 184 until the last channel for controller #5 (16 x 5 = 90). So you should have 274 total channels. Now some just use the full universe of 510 or 512 channels for the non-RGB controllers. That way you can 'reserve' additional channels should you need them later.
If you think you will add more DMX channels, then keep it simple with DMX - Universe 1 and LOR - Universe 2 and then start with Universe 3 with the RGB controllers. It all depends on the flexibility you want to have for growth.

Maybe you can clear this up for me. I left universe 1 open and started with universe 2 but Universe 2 starts with Nut-mapping 1-255 and goes to Universe 33 ending in 15151-15330. I now need to add some dmx to lor boxes that would start at 15331 and run thru 15378. Is this DMX 1-48? I am using a lor usb/485b adapter with a cross over cable from the adapter to the lor box that is identified as 1.
I could go back and use U-1 for the DMX to LOR and start U-2 at 511. Just allot of number changes.

Brad,
Have to admit, I set my LOR network first (U1) and then added e1.31 channels next (U2 and on) so the numbering ran in sequence. I do not know how to go back and add the LOR network after you have the other channels set up. I think XL will start the numbering at the end of the last entry. So my suggestion is to start fresh with U1 and channels 1-48 for your DMX. Others may know more about this than I.

Are U running your U1 out of an LOR adapter or are you taking the com line to a switch and then from the switch to all of your Universes>??

OK let me try that again.
are you running from your computer to a LOR adapter and then thru a cross over cable to the LOR boxes.
or
are you running from your computer to a switch and then feeding the LOR boxes just like you feed a E131 device.
and
In XL under set up how do you have your network type and port defined
Thanks

I run my LOR boxes via USB connection to USB485 dongle and then send all my e1.31 to router and then to controllers.
I attached part of the network setup where you see my U1 for LOR and U2 starting the e1.31 universes.

Thanks randy,
But I don't see an attachment?
