Title: Mapping an effect to a timing mark
Post by: Charles Belcher on September 25, 2015, 01:39:18 PM
Programming a little and had the idea that it would be really cool if you could run the Vamp plug in, then got a pop up box showing the:

Type of Vamp timing (beat, bar, etc)
The Number of the selected Vamp timing marks
The List of your models via the layout tab
The list of effects available
and a box to place the timing mark numbers next to the desired model
and a list of available effects where you could place a checkmark corresponding to the selected model/timing mark

Hello Charles,

Have you has a look at the random effect generator ? Highlight the cells , as many ops you wish , then right dlick and select the option.

On 3.x videos , I saw that you could then lock the ones you wanted to keep and then redo this.

Gerry,

I normally don't like to use anything with the word "random" in the description.  It's kinda a departure from the idea of "lights to music". :)

But, I would like to "nest" a group within a group.  Yes/No?

And I would like to save a "scene" as a group.  Like all blue bushes, red chimney, white window frames...that
sort of thing.  Yes/No?

Charles

Hello Charles,

From memory, the random ect generator in 3.x allowed you to select and lock a set of effects , that you like. Maybe not what you are looking for here, you can also save what you have in one place as a preset and load it agin .. Your second an. Not sure about groups within groups. Effects work differently at the group level , so at most I have a group per logical set of models , plus an all model group.
