need a little help with a singing pumpkin face. instead of using dumb rgb pixels i am using smart pixels. i am able to get the mouth movements going if just using the typical 8 channel model, but i cant figure out how to get it working when i try it using my 807 channel model. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly my suggestion is to move to either a projector or P10 panel.
Then use faces, this is way easier and cheaper. Specially because you can use any face you want, and even reuse for Christmas.
That's why I built 8 ft wide P10 panel.

You could "fake" it to act like a basic 8 channel "dumb" pumpkin. It would involve creating 8 models. On model would be the Outline, one the open eyes, then the closed eyes, then upper lip, etc...
Another way, depending on your Pixel Controller, of creating 8 virtual strings that act as "dumb" strings.
Perhaps a picture of your string layout and what controller you are using?

In the faces definition, use a "Node Ranges" type and type in the list of node numbers (pixel numbers) for what should be turned for each movement. Ranges can work (example: "1-12,24-30")

Cool - did not know that one.

I have tried the node ranges option and could never get it to work. I have been able to to work by creating an 8 channel face and them importing they effects into my rgb model. Kind of a pain on the butt, but it seems to work

Hi,
I too cannot get the node ranges to work, they will accept entries, but they will not "stick" once you Ok out of the window. Am I missing something?
Cheers
