Title: Limitation of Data file size when impoprting lms
Post by: bpducman on November 09, 2015, 05:41:47 AM
I have had no problems when importing lms files up to to 64megs   now I trying to import a 90 meg file and sometimes it will load but then it gives me errors, sometimes it will just not load.

Question do we have a Limit of the size of the data import function.

Thanks
Brad

I import 1.6 Gig files without any problems.

It likely may be an out-of-memory situation.  If you have a Mac available, you may want to try on there and see if it works.    The Mac builds are 64bit and wouldn't likely hit these problems.

If you can drop-box your xlights_* files, the LMS file, and the mapping file you are using for the import, I can try and take a look.

Also, on the mac, did it generate a crash report?

It did

But I just ran the lms file thru LOR a couple of times saving after each time and I guess what ever was out of place LOR straightened  it up. When I imported it now it is working     slow import and slow saving but working.

Now XL is telling me I have a bad .jpg on my House preview but it only tells me this on this one sequence all of the other sequences run with the same jpg

any idea there. Jim was saying that he found using notepad++ the sequence was looking in the wrong location. I don't understand why just on this one sequence

Thanks for the offer I will take a rain check
