I have 2 errors coming up...Unable to load RGB Effects File, and XML Parsing Error 'Not well-formed(Invalid Token)' at line 9.
I have my stuff backed up...but not really sure how to activate or of that will even help. I click on the xlights-rgbeffects, and I get a notepad...never had any issues with the program before, so not sure what to do...any help would be appreciated.
I also thought trying to load the new version would help...so I just loaded 4.2.22 and it didn't change, still got the same error..I was using the 4.2.21

Do you know what a zip file is and how to open it and grab a file from it?

I have zipped files before...but not often...

Just watched a tutorial....so I get it...but not sure what I should do...get rid of the existing files, zip the backup folder, and then extract?

Hmm I haven't looked in a long time it actually doesn't even look like we zip them up. When you hit F10 it creates a Backup directory. That directory will have sub-directories for every backup you've done and is named based on time and date. Just go into one of the directories and it will have all your files. I would make a copy of the stuff in your show directory first before copying any backup files back in there. Hopefully you know how to move copies of the files...if not there's always google.

But will that really matter, since there are errors in regarding unable to load the RGB effects file, and the MXL Parsing error?

ULtimately there is still an error in the software upon loading, irregardless of the files...would you suggest uninstalling and reinstalling? Thanks Gil

As I posted in your other thread it is the Fences1 model that is messed up. Install notepad++ and edit the file so that it looks like the other fence models.
