This is a nice feature. I think I want 8 colors as well in the palette to chose from. This may allow me in the situation where I have my 8 legs of a spinner to be able to pick one color for each arm using the bars effect. Unless there is a way to use layers some how. I guess I'll go log it in github as a future enhancement.
-
Yeah I have 12 legs on my spinner can we get 12 colors?
-
I'm just curious what are all the colors y'all are using? I find that I can make blue, red, green, cyan, yellow, purple, and pink look good, then cool white and warm white.

Technically I just need one color and a "palette skip" option vs a palette rep option I think in the bars effect.
I have found similar to what Louie said...7 colors look awesome. My white SUCKS..but I have a killer black :-)
-
Or how about the "add to custom colors" actually storing the custom colors.
I've written an Excel macro that parses the RGB effects file & displays all of the colors stored. I can then use that to reduce my number of pallets and verify all of my blues, reds, greens, etc are consistent.
-
xlights 3 could store a palette and load a palette. we lost this feature when we went to xlights 4. Probably , next year we will get it back.
-
Yeah we still have the old palette save/load dialog in the code just need to bring it back to life.
-
And I see my old saved pallets still in the file so they did not get thrown out.
