Title: Importing LMS timing grid
Post by: dwbarnett on November 22, 2015, 07:38:41 PM
Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.  I'm trying to import a timing grid from my LMS sequence.

I right click on the timing button, select import timimg tracks. After a moment the window pops up to select
timing track.  It is empty.  Am I doing something wrong?

The other vamp plug ins work fine
Thanks,
David

It searches the LMS file for a section called <timingGrids> which needs to contain a subsection called <timingGrid> which must contain an attribute called "type=freeform".  You can open your LMS file in any editor that can view XML in a nice format like Notepad++ and search for some of those terms to see why your timing grids aren't found inside the file.

Ahh get it Gil. Searching for a freeform grid.  This was only fixed.  Didn't remember reading in the manual.

Thanks for clarification

Best,
David

So in xLights you can create a fixed grid easy if you stick to the options provided like 50ms or 100ms.  Later I will allow you to enter a custom fixed duration.
