Title: I changed some models and deleted others
Post by: Charles Belcher on November 22, 2015, 09:26:28 PM
I went to layout: changed some models by either changing just the name and keeping the same channel number or by adding a model using a previously unused channel number and deleted some other models which I never got around to using and now...

When I try to pull up a sequence I get dialog boxes wanting me to either rename or delete.

Don't know where to go from there...how do I get through this and be able to pull up a sequence?

Well you need to do what the dialog boxes are telling you to do.  If you delete models they still exist in all your old sequences.  When you reopen one of those sequences and we find a model that doesn't exist in your new setup we ask you what you want to do with it.  You have the chance to map it to a new name if you've renamed a model or delete all the effects associated with that model if it doesn't exist anymore.

Gil,

I changed a model from one name to another and placed the newly renamed model in an existing group.  In the sequence, I have effects dropped in at the group level and the individual model levels in different places on the timeline.

Where-ever I have used an effect on the group as a whole, the newly added model does not display that effect.

Am I doing something wrong or is there a reason for this that can be overcome without re-dropping the effect at the newly created model level?

You need to save or re-render the sequence.  If that doesn't work then its something to do with your rendering order.

Yea, found it--render order deal--all good now
