Hello, the struggles of the hobby are so fun. here is what I am running for set up.
Lynx Ethernet Dongle - Falcon8 - to Lynx Express - Lynx Express and terminate is on.
My channels are blinking when they should be solid. I checked in Nutcracker and they are marked to be solid.
I did go into TEST in xLights and every thing is fine. I set to full on and the are rock solid. Any idea what I am doing wrong in Nutcracker? The of course are 120v lights

A couple of things to try for the On effect...
Make sure shimmer isn't checked and your start/end intensities are set the same. Also make sure you don't have a fade in/out time set in the layer blending window. Cycle count at 0 can't hurt either.
Who knows, I might be completely off base and someone with more knowledge can correct me or add to this.

Ran into the same problem earlier this week. I'm pretty sure this is not your issue, but then again...
I had been testing my sequences with XL and had the Light output button on; I wasn't playing any sequences, just Idle.
But I was also running my FPP to test it's functionally; running a test sequence. What I saw was what you see. Flashing/shimmering lights when it should be solid. The reason this happens is not clear to me, but I think it has to do with a conflict between XL output and the Pi trying to run a sequence. Possibly the network traffic from both were sending different commands to the controllers.
All be told, as soon as I turned off the XL lights button, all was good.

I had this problem when I first got my lights up and testing my programming. To my surprise I had some overlapping channels. One model had a few of the same channels as another so it took me a few days to find out why they would blink when I didn't program it to do that. Just something to check, good luck finding your problem.

I still have an issue. Here is the latest: not running Pi yet. I set up a animation test sequence of solid on for 8 seconds and receive the same results. Here is a screen shot of the set up and one of the models.

I have tried everything. I am going to run a schedule and see if it still happens.

I do not understand how you can go from a Falcon 8 to an LE. The Falcon is a pixelnet device and the LE is a DMX device. I go from my ETD to a Lynx active hub and then out to F16/8 and use the DMX out to go to DMX devices, but I've never heard of connecting an F8 and an LE together.

The Falcon 8 has DMX out, but maybe my old eyes are screwing with me. I wil check again. Thank sir

Your right, I have always assumed that 2nd jack was another pixelnet out. Hmmmm something to think about, although my dmx use has gone way down.

I am going to try my active hub, but I am now think it could be a universe issue. I still like the comments and help. Thanks for any and all comments.

Are you using a single color of WHITE n the sequence?

I am a beginner and had the same flicker problem and eventually found that in the E131 set up screen in xLights I had duplicate lines check whole page to delete/change them. I did this and the flicker disappeared.

Here is the update, the lights were blinking because of a power supply that was running lower power than advertised. Thank you all for the help.
