Title: DMX Effect information/tutorial

If this has been asked and answered, I apologize - I looked everywhere I could think with no luck.

Is there a tutorial or any information that I can access that will help me use the DMX effect?  And how do you create a model for a DMX device?

For example, I have a RGBW Par that is 8 channels
Channel 1 needs to always be 11
Channel 3 needs to always be 0
Channel 4 needs to always be 0
Channel 5 is Red
Channel 6 is Green
Channel 7 is Blue
Channel 8 is White

I want to use it like I would a normal RGB pixel/dimmer.  Where to start???

Hi,

I can only partially answered as have not used the DMX effect.
Perhaps define a custom model (type of string Single Colour White).
Or a Single Line model , Single Color White , Actual number of Strings 8 and # of lights per string is white .
