Hi,
I have successfully converted over completely from LOR to xLights software-wise, I'm still using LOR controllers.
I have an old 48-string megatree, 12 strings each of red, blue, green & white. I imported the data for this tree from my old LOR sequences and everything works great. I wasn't thinking ahead, so I just defined my model as 48 strings, 1 light per string, single color white.
Now my wife wants some new sequences built, and I have to include the old megatree. So I would like to create a better definition to make seqencing it easier. I thought I had seen a tutorial somewhere about how to do this, but I can't seem to find anything. Could somebody give me some guidance on the best way to build this model?

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure if this is the best approach for me.
I have been playing with this a little. Since I have some strings that are white, anytime I put all 4 colors in a model group and apply white to it, it turns on all 4 colors of strings. I think this is how it is supposed to work, but doesn't give me the results I'm looking for.
I tried it a different way. I created 4 tree models, each with 12 strings and 2 strands, 1 for each color. Then I placed the 4 models right next to each other in the layout tab. Sequencing them individually seems to give me the results I want. It is extra work to do all 4 models, but I'm not planning to do anything too elaborate on this, so I think it will be ok.
Does this sound like a reasonable approach?
