Title: Just want to make a sequence to play all night long.
Post by: Trooper on December 07, 2015, 01:33:06 PM
Have run out of time at the moment to sequence things.  Is there a fast and dirty way to get the blinky flashy without music but using some effects?Want to go live tonight but only have a half finished sequence done.  BTW I live on a main road and people wiz by at 40-60 MPH.

Go to show assets and grab a sequence someone has shared.  Then just use a dummy music file or create an "empty" music file in audicity or modify the xml in Notepad++ to make it an animation sequence before opening in xLights.  There are tons of shared sequences out there.  Music is not a requirement to run someone else's sequence.  Find one with lots of activity and your viewers will probably never know the difference.

As for the 40-60mph, use police light colors and strobe effect to catch people's attention :-)

Or just create an animation and use "t" to place a lot of timing marks.  Then select all the cells and hit Shift R to place a bunch of random effects.

New to the whole word of Pixels and this year I just want to run animations on my roof line. How do I get an animation to run in the scheduler?

When you set up the playlist you have choices in the drop down box.
