Title: XL with 2 e682's issues
Post by: RandyS on December 12, 2015, 05:30:25 PM
I am having issues with my setup.  I have 2 e682's on a Trendnet switch hardwired to the lan card on my show PC.  Everything on the first controller is working fine, but only part of the elements on the 2nd controller fire up.  If I run an all on test in XL, everything comes on as expected.  I am posting a screen grab of my XL setup, as well as the 2 e682's.  Help......

Randy--not an expert here, but I am successfully running two E682s in multicast.  I recommend that you download SACNView and "watch" what your universes are doing---for example if you run an SACNView channel check, it will cycle through your pixels from start to finish--it will generate the test signal AND it has a viewer that shows you which channels are being cycled.   Even better, probably, is to test some of your elements from XL and watch the channels in SACNView.   My two cents.   I hope you figure it out!!

Only thing I pick up, and I am not an expert!!
Why have you got overlapping universes on the 2 controllers??

You have 14 universes in XLights setup and only 11 on your controllers.
5,6&7 are overlapped.

The packets received are consistent so looks like it is receiving data ok though.

I don't see any obviously wrong with your setup.  It looks to me like you have one long contiguous group of channels - Controller 1 ends at Universe 5 Channel 48 and Controller 2 picks up at Universe 5 Channel 49.  This all makes sense.  When you test the channels it works right?  Have you double checked how your Models are mapped to make sure they are properly mapped to the channels on controller 2?

Alan

Yes, I have checked and rechecked.  I'm sure it's something simple but...........

If they work all in in XL....take a look at your models
