Last minute push to get my lights up and I thought jumping into 4.x would give me the best opportunity to leverage other people's sequences.
I went directly to 4.3. When I created a basic sequence with all models using a group called 'all' I find that it is leaving out 4 of my 10 pixel candy canes. i verified wiring is good, channels are assigned, and a bunch of other steps... but those 4 canes remain off for all sequences.
i went to another computer (and instead of the 67secs to generate the sequence on the first computer) the second computer takes just 6 seconds and is a smaller file... it also only shows a single model on the status bar.
so... wondering if there is a stable version i might use instead of 4.3.
thanks.

I have been using 4.2.24. Not that it's any better but just as far as I have went. It's production time so I stuck with it once I got things running.

I doubt an older version is the solution to that issue. Is the model group set to Minimal Grid?

Create a group only for the pixel canes and drop the same effect on that and see what happens.
By using all the models in one group, xl will draw a "boundary" round your whole house layout (ie all models specified) and then try and build the effects against that . So it could be that the canes are not in the picture where u have laid them out

Things are looking more predictable now with the save time. Not sure what changed.
The canes were a problem with the wrong pixelnet universe config on port #2 of Pi#1. :o
thanks, everyone.
