I'm trying to make my ripples effect fade out. Using layers, with layer 2 being an ON effect and an end intensity of 0, didn't seem to give the right effect because the ON causes the ripple effect to disappear. I'm sure I'm just doing something incorrect, I am still learning after all. How are others out there achieving this? I'm sure I'm not the only one to try this.
Thanks

Set the fade for the ripple effect. I'm not following why you have layers in this.

I didn't see a fade bar in the ripples effect. That would be so easy if it did... I'll search around some more to make sure it's not something simple but wasn't able to see it while I was working on it today. I'll need to put my kids down to bed before I try again but I'll keep you posted on what I find. I'll apologize right now if it's that easy and I just missed it.

To my knowledge you can fade any effect. The fade controls aren't in the effect settings, they are in layer blending (the icon is an A/B). Just remember the fade settings, like most settings, will start from the last used. So, if you use fade you need to make sure the next effect you insert is correct by checking the fade settings.

You got it. I was looking in the wrong spot. It would have taken me a long time to notice that so I appreciate you leading me to it. And to top it off I finished reading the manual :) although it seems the manual skipped over this detail. I was confused because the Single Strand effect has Fade adjustment in the effect settings but I wasn't finding it with the other effects so I thought I needed to layer the two in order to achieve this. Thanks for the help.
