Yeah that probably why you haven't seen us advertise the release...it has a couple problems.

OK, good to know I'm not the only one. Will await a fix.  ;D

Best,

Running W10 here.   Got that same error message.   Re-loaded 2016.1 from the website and got error message again, so re-loaded 4.3.2 and the error message is now gone.

danj:  Sean posted in some other threads how to fix this problem.  You need to remove a couple files from the old xlights installation directory if you aren't going to uninstall first.  David showed you what to do above your post....delete "wxmsw*.*".

The self install program is not over writing the wxmsw30*.dll library files. Try one of these: 1) uninstall xlights, 2) delete the dll files from your c:/programfiles(x86)/xlights directory, 3) try running the xlights setup program as admin

These library files have not been changed in 8 months, so we would never notice if they werent being overwritten

Thanks.   I'll do that when I get home tonight.  I appreciate the info.   I looked for, but didn't find the wxmsw*.* file...   I appreciate the responses!

danj just in case you aren't reading the other posts around here there is an easier fix now.  Just download version 2016.2 and its been updated to properly overwrite the files.

I downloaded 2016.2 and when I try to load the sequence I was working on it says there is an unhandled exception and the ignore button causes xlights to crash all the other ones just exit my sequence.
