Title: Noob Pi Player question over WiFi
Post by: needbrew on February 01, 2016, 04:36:22 PM
I have a Pi Player hooked up to a falcon F16-v2 controller.  the Pi is connected to my home network with wireless and is wired into the F16-V2.  Can I use the XLights test tab , and also when I click on an effect in the sequence tab, to turn on the lights?  I am trying to set this up and it is not working currently.  I can see the FPP and the F16V2 from my computer but cannot get lights to come on.

screen shot of your Pi's Network page?

and what is the IP address of your F16v2? (must be a fixed IP in same subnet as the FPP)

That is the best way to learn something is to have something go wrong. You get to dig deeper into it's operation and learn a lot more that if it just works out of the box (which is nice if you are in a hurry though).
