Based on my read of the XL/NC manual, it looks like maybe the morph effect is the best way to do leaping arches. Is this correct? Or is there a better effect to use to do leaping arches? Like maybe singlestrand?
Thanks!!!!

Single strand works.

I have used both. Depends on what you want the effect to look like.

Thanks for the replies!! I'll play around with both of 'em. Wasn't getting what I wanted from singlestrand, so was trying morph.

I'm sure there are 100 different opinions on what exactly a leaping arch effect looks like. Its best to just experiment with SingleStrand and Morph and learn what they both can do. SingleStrand has two different tabs so get familiar with the differences because they produce different effects. It also probably makes a different whether you model the arches as a group or individual models. My arches are not in a group so I'm not sure how an arch group reacts with the Morph effect.

Thanks Gil. I plan to play around with singlestrand & morph tonight... I do have my arches grouped. The "group all arches" seems to work differently than what I remember though. I appreciate the reply!

I like leaving my arches as individual models which gives me full control over when each effect runs on an arch. Then when using morphs you can align the head on each arch to start where the head ends on the previous one. There are also times when I run 2 morphs starting in the center of each arch going both directions and I'm not sure how you would do that with all the arches grouped as one model.
