Title: Display Elements "Tree" View Size
Post by: Phrog30 on February 19, 2016, 09:12:12 AM
Is there anyway to increase the width for the display elements tree, the area that shows the timings, models, etc?  Some of my labels are a little long and get cut off.  It's not that big of a deal, just curious if I'm missing an option that would allow this.

Pretty sure there is currently no way to resize it.  If I remember right it would be a bit of work to make that change because I think the original design Dave created draws all those row headings and the grid all in the same OpenGL canvas so its not like there is any type of splitter handle that divides the two.  We would need to create our own.

Gotcha, thanks. I probably need to rename with something shorter.

I had the same problem.  I have gotten very creative with my models name to be somewhat abbreviated but still make sense to the wife and I (we have over 200 models so distinct names can be difficult).

Ditto, I have learned to make very short names.  My windows all start with W and a number.  For friend with a 2 story house I'm using WU# and WL# with all the numbers starting at the left side.  But there are lots of ways to abbreviate things.  This is probably a tip that should be noted in the manual for new users as well.  ie.  Use short names for models.

I'll investigate how hard it would be to make it adjustable.

Thank you Gil - if it's not, that's ok, but do appreciate the look.
