Last Christmas we were looking at some videos of different displays and we noticed one where the folks had laid out lighting in their driveway. It looked really great. Does anyone know where I could find that? I should have bookmarked it... Arrgh

Do love that, wonder if we ever redo the driveway if I could talk SWMBO into glass pavers that would have Minleon lights down there to do the same sort of effects in a pattern.
There is a place in Sandpoint Idaho that makes glass tiles that are solar cells etc that you can put in parking lots and there is some testing in Netherlands I think with leds in them as well to change up the messages to the drivers, melt the ice off etc..

Yepper that is it. Thanks so much. We might pursue this in 2017; we have enough changes queued up for 2016 for now!!!

How would one do that and still use the driveway for vehicles? Curious minds want to know. Even a sidewalk could be neat.

I would be worried about people turning around in our driveway.

Details details details... LOL.... Not sure how to attack that; thinking maybe folding one set of RGBs over in one "lane" of the driveway and leave the other "lane" open so we could at least park one car in garage. Our driveway is kinda semi-circular too so not so far how to do the folding thing. My wife brought this up actually--that we could park one car and leave the other out on the road (we are kind of in a cul de sac). More to come on how to do this physically....

ugh, I hate anything that would require me to do something every time the display runs. I can leave town for a weekend and the display still plays as scheduled. I remember talking to one person (who will remain unnamed) who actually took a big prop into his garage every night after the show was over and had to put it back out every afternoon in prep for the next day (not talking about donation boxes). That is just not me, but to each his own.

Completely agree. But like you said, whatever floats your boat.
