Wow, Matt (xlights author) has joined the LOR development team? Full time ? That's significant.

Yep.
Here is what i wrote on the facebook LOR forum

My feelings: this is great news for LOR users. You now have the architect of xLights working on getting his code working inside LORs infrastructure. I expect I have lost Matt as a developer for the time being. LOR bought a one time copy of our code from 4 months ago. They are not getting new copies from us. Whatever Matt adds to LORs version of xLights (Make it have a LOR feel, do not require import/export, .etc.) None of those features will come back into our code tree. This is a branch. The LOR version, the free version. I have worked on xLights/Nutcracker every week since January 2012. I do not plan on stopping. I will continue to develop/enhance the free version for years to come. Best of luck to Matt and Dan and all the LOR users. PS: I have some openings for developers ...

Very professional, Sean, and totally agree with your comments.

+1 ... Sean, what's the primary language(s) used?
-
C++ is what xlights/nutcracker is written in. We use wxwidgets libraries and codeblocks ide

This is really huge news. Thanks for posting!

Sean, you are a stand up guy. I wish I knew how to code. I have always wanted to learn. You just never know what is next on the table. Let me know what I can do to help as always.
