I am trying to build a series of models of windows with nothing along the bottom, think garage door or a window which the bottom is below bushes.
-
Good question, I had to build a Custom Model for my Front Door that has no lights along the bottom.
-
For a single door, just use a window frame and "waste" the last channels for the non-existent pixels along the bottom. Losing 30 or so channels for the bottom of a door isn't a big deal but losing 30 on 5-10 frames could add up although even that is less than 1 universe.
It would be nice to have a 3-sided frame but this can be accomplished without one.

You can also make 3 single strand models and then group them. With the new effect rendering options that allow you to do different things at a model group level, it really opens up lots of new options.

If you're on a Mac, grab the "NewLayout" build.... 0 is allowed on the bottom. :)
