Title: "Wipe" option?

I dug around in the manual a bit and did some word searching here on the forum but came up empty handed.   Anyone know what the number (0 to 100) does on the "wipe" option?  I was thinking it might be a speed adjustment, but when I tried different values I didn't see any changes in my wipes.   By the way, I really like the "wipe" option--that is pretty cool especially on bars....

First of all after selecting the wipe option you have to adjust the time (s) option ... if you leave it as zero the wipe takes no time so you cant see it.

One you have done that the Adjustment will work. For the wipe effect the adjustment controls the angle of the wipe.

0 = wipe up
25 = wipe to left
50 = wipe down
75 = wipe to right
100 = wipe up again

Is there a reason we didn't use 0-360 to represent an angle?

Ok---got it!!   Thanks so much.  I like that effect; it is a really slick way to finish up an effect.  Now that I think about it, I guess it would be a pretty cool way to start an effect, too...

It both starts and stops. It is also possible to overlap effect such that the wipe removes one effect and reveals the next like a video transition. Dan and I had that in mind when we wrote it.

For those of you reading this and wondering they're talking about... There are 10 new layer in/out layer transitions. They are found on the "Layer Blending" menu.
