Title: Looking For Custom Model
Post by: bravado67 on April 12, 2016, 03:23:23 PM
Since I will be using smart pixels now I need to find or create a custom model for the attached 46x46 HC Singing Pumpkin. The other posts seem to address the smaller versions of this. This has 264 nodes. Any help appreciated.

It depends on how "individual" you want to be.  We took a picture of our frame (ours was wire frame) and then using it as a background for the custom model entered the pixel number for each pixel on it.

Inside the sequencer, we grouped the lights for "outside", "upper-mouth", etc..

I looked in the Facebook Official xLights Group "Files" for this model and didn't see one shared yet.

Open Excel and set the column widths to 2.75
Insert a Shape  (rectangle)
Fill the Shape with a photo of your model.
Set the transparency to 70-80%
Now just type the node numbers as  you see a pixel hole in a cell.

Attached is a sample.

Thanks! That's pretty much what I've been doing. Here it is so far. Another 15 minutes and I should be done.

I am in exactly the same plae - I have my Holiday Coro pumpkin built up with smart pixels, all wire up, and I'm about to start programming it.  If you would be willing to share your xmodel, I would really appreciate it.

There is a model for this on the google drive.
It's called Holiday Coro RGB Pumpkin.xmodel

You can used the attached node ranges for setting up the singing face

I will import this tonight, but it appears to be what I am looking for.  I might need to renumber things a bit based on the order that I wired them (although I generally followed the order printed on the coro).  I trieid creating a custom model last night, but realized at the end that I wasn't numbering the pixels correctly - I had numbered them as if I was using dumb instead of smart pixels.

Thank you for your help.

That model was a good starting point - I just had to re-number the pixels to account for the order in which I wired my pumpkin, and then update the face definitions to match.  Now on to sequencing these LEDs.
