Title: Anybody using these addressable RGB Ring lights assemblies?
Post by: scuba on April 15, 2016, 10:17:13 AM
Check out this product from Ray Wu:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/24eds-SK6812-RGB-addressable-ring-DC5V-input-RGB-full-color-round-LED-pixel/701799_32611419727.html

I'm going to use them to light plastic cup "stars"....

Has anyone used these before?
They are compatible with WS2812's

I have not but the look pretty cool.  Do you know if each pixel is addressable?

Chipset says SK6812.  While that may be compatible with WS2812, that is unknown.

Good luck and let us know. You may need to ask Ray Wu.

Adafruit has something very similar if not identical. Search their site for NeoPixel Ring. I have several of Adafruits NeoPixel products and they work as WS2812, although I have not specifically gotten around to testing the rings themselves.

Curious if you bought them/received them?  If so, thoughts?

I'd be interested in these working with the Boscoyo Glow Trees.
