I just want to express my thanks for everyone that has had a part in making this seminar happen. Thinking about how Gil Jones drove with all kinds of display models to show how the program can go beyond us rookies capabilities and produce effects using layers and masking to get WOW!!!
Example the tendril effect in rainbow colors or fire in different colors. I for one really want to thank Sean for being willing to do this, for more expert users to come in support of Sean and being able to visit with everybody.
Thanks
Kent Davis

It has also been great for those of us here in person to put faces to names. Been a wealth of knowledge and appreciate learning from each other as well as Sean et. al.

I agree with the previous inputs. Thanks so much to everyone involved with this seminar. We can't tell you thanks enough for putting this together and for this WONDERFUL piece of software!!

Thanks Sean, Lilia, and Gil for your time and effort to put together this weekend!
It was good to see other users and compare notes... not just for xlights, but also the Falcon Player and Falcon Controllers.
Even though I've been using Nutcracker since Sean's earliest web-based version, I still learned a lot this weekend! I know that I will be able to put to use much of what Gil and Lilia presented.
Thanks again, and I hope everyone gets home safely to begin their work sequencing!
To all who attended in person or remotely... PLEASE CONSIDER SHARING YOUR SEQUENCES AND CUSTOM MODELS -- BUT ONLY SEQUENCES THAT YOU HAVE CREATED!
If you become really good at xLight sequences, post videos of your animations and consider selling them to others in the community!

This event was well worth the trip. Being able to meet your peers and pick their brains was great. The class was informative and entertaining. A big thanks to all that made this happen. Until next year.

Just wanted to say I was in my hotel room last night bringing over .lms effects from another show with different props using the red import method. I didn't get the mapping right but the effects came over so I added the entire timeline effect to the effects preset. Then I created a new sequence and added the effects to my props. It worked perfectly and now I can modify or leave as is. All this I learned from the class. Kudos!

For thos who dont know the reference ,
BLUE Method from this graph is to bring lms, vix, hls, lsp files and store as a binary file. We call these files the data import method. The flow for that is in BLUE.
RED method. Import the effects in and map them to xlights effects.
BLUE method:
Best when your LOR sequence has a megatree. BLUE method very fast
Bad: You cannot edit the data you bring in, must go back to LOR,vixen or HLS
RED Method:
Best to be able to edit effects, no longer need original sequencer
Bad: Really do not want to being in Megatrees from lms file, creates thousands of rows.

I too want to thank each of you for the seminnar.
The information presented was exellent and very useful.

Agree as well - I did the webinar (wish I could have been there to meet everyone) and it was simply fantastic! I sketched an idea of my first model layout during the webinar and sat down today and loaded up a pic of my house and created about 15 models...all with confidence based on what I learned.
Thanks to all for the hard work and countless hours spent preparing for the seminar - it was well worth it.

You know this is a great hobby when I could be there in person and see all the people I have been conversing with over the past years. My son also took the class over 1000 miles away at his university. We both thank everyone involved in putting this together. We both learned a lot!! Truly enlightening!! Thanks everybody!!

Just like to say thanks to Sean, Lilia, Gill and Keith for the time and effort that they put in to make the seminar a great success and I'm sure there are others who helped out behind the scenes as well.
I have already started using some of the things I picked up during the two days.
1) Redoing timing tracks the Lilia way. (Thanks Lilia)
2) Better use of the VU meter
3) Finally figured out how Gill gets some of those great effects with Morph.
Again thanks very much and look forward to the next one but can we do it on Australian time please ;D.

Had a great time meeting everyone I had the opportunity to talk to. Special thanks to all who presented at the seminar, It takes a lot of time and effort to put such a event on for forty + people and have a webinar running at the same time. Sean, Gil, Lilia and others should be commended for the quality of what was presented in a timely manner. I know some might comment that all topics were not covered but given the amount of material presented, I think Sean should not be so hard on himself. Remember all of these people are using their free time to write this software for all to use and take the time to support those of us that are struggling. Again a big thanks...

PS for those who get rental cars on trips and fuel up before returning the car. Make sure you wash hands extremely well!!!! Otherwise when going thru security you get a special trip to a private room for examination. This is what happens when you hands test positive for hydrocarbons in the gas chromatic graph. Vegas always something special happens there..lol

Sure you're gonna buy us tickets to do the seminar there right? :)
By the way only 1 "l" in Gil. Sorry little pet peeve of mine.
-
Sorry about the extra l but I must have been running on auto pilot when I typed that as my wife's name is Gill.
Not sure if my light budget would stretch to tickets for all of you but you guys could start the seminar at 3pm that would mean 8am here which would be just perfect ;D you know I get up any time of the night to learn from the best.
Thanks again
Stuart
