Title: Add Timings/Models change request
Post by: JMHaro on April 24, 2016, 12:55:06 PM
Since I'm going through a 'lot' of sequence conversions from LOR to xLights, I would like to see one thing that would make my life easier.

In the Add Timings/Models screen when adding the models initially to a new sequence, would it be possible to make this easier by doing any or all of the following:
It would be easier to select all my models and then go back and just deselect a few models that I don't want.

Sounds like you aren't doing things right because you should never need to do what you're talking about more than 1 time.  First thing you need to do is create a view.  Then you add all your models to that view.  Then when you open up a new sequence all you do is select that view from the dropdown top left on the grid and it automatically populates the sequence with all your models.  If you do it the way you're talking about then it only applies to that one sequence.  "Master View" is not a global view it is a view only local to that sequence.  Every other view you create is global to the show directory and available to all sequences.

Keep in mind that the render order goes off of the master view.

I recommend reading the xlights manual, on the releases page. You would have most likely seen this while reading.

Thanks both.  I had been watching about every video I could find and hadn't seen that part.  Going through the manual now to see what I've been missing.
