Title: crash when adding an MPG file in 2016.32
Post by: JonB256 on May 21, 2016, 04:36:04 PM
Open 2016.32
It is in OpenGL Auto Select
Create a new animation sequence, 30 seconds, 20 fps
Add a P10 model and a 40x30 matrix model
Put a timing mark at the end
Drop a Video effect into the P10 model timing
Select the MPG file (it is on a network drive, not a local drive)
Immediate crash ( happened twice, this is the second crash)

I converted the MPG file to an MP4 file. Problems went away.

Is there a known preference or problem related to MPG format?  I created the file from a DVD and chose MPG instead of MP4, so that is very fixable.

Also, I love the new adjustable box function in "Layer Settings" but, if you adjust the yellow borders too far, the corner handles disappear and are not recoverable easily. I had to delete the effect, then Copy/Paste from another effect that still had the handles visible.

I guess I remember reading that now. Thanks for the reminder.

Not sure if it root cause but I have implemented a configuration change which may fix your crash with mpgs. I would like you to try it again when 2016.33 comes out.

Willing to test up until December 1st.  Gotta draw the line somewhere.
