Title: cannot get version 37 to load

cannot get 2016.37 to come up on either windows 10 or 7 here is my appdata log that gil told me to send

So that's crashing when its trying to read your last show directory from the registry.  Looking at that short section of code I don't see how it would crash.  But what can you tell us about the show directory....did you happen to delete it?  Do you know how to find the xLights registry settings and see what "LastDir" is set to?

registry search (one way):
click on the Start icon .
Type in cmd and press enter to get the Dos prompt
Then type in regedit and press enter. Wait a short while till the registry editor is populated with stuff.
click on Edit , then Find and then search for the string that Gil mentioned ie LastDir

it should populate a list of items with Name , Type and Data columns - you want the data value

Note : There may be other better ways to get this info...
