I have a purchased mp3 song that has a brief unwanted audible noise at the very beginning of the song. I imported it from ITunes into Audacity and have been trying to get that sound out. I have tried all sorts of effects in that area, even silencing the audio in that problem spot, but I cannot get the unwanted blip out. Any ideas as to how to solve my problem? I have attached the audio file below.

i opened your mp3 song in audacity, i hear no blip. Song stars at 0:05 seconds and plays fine.

Thanks for checking, Sean. Wierd. When I play the song in Light O Rama or in Audacity, the very start of the song has this hiccup. After that, the song plays fine as you said. But when I sent the Audacity mp3 to ITunes, this time it played fine. 2nd time it had the hiccup. 3rd time it played fie. Anyway, I so appreciate your looking at it. This is a purchased song from Amazon.

I downloaded the file you attached and played it with Windows Media Player. There was no hiccup and it started right away.

Thanks for your reply. I don't know why this is happening, but it also happened on the next song I'm sequencing. I hope they don't hiccup during my Christmas show. I have re-downloaded the songs several times from the original purchased copies , and run them through Audacity several times. I still cannot figure it out.

Can you capture it with something like Screencastomatic?
