I will start the discussion of the EXPO. It was very nice. xLights was well represented with Gil Jones, Steve Giron and myself teaching 10 classes.
In the expo, i led a discussion of sequencers, hardware controllers. We discussed where the next year or two will see the industry go. To facilitate the discussion I asked people what they liked or wanted in a sequencer. One person was very adamant about having a native MAC version. So dan kulp, good job!. When asking what dont you like about your current sequencer, the xlight answer was a little interesting. Most people in the room said they didnt like the auto docking of windows while in the SEQUENCER tab (especially in the smaller real estate of a laptop). I did some research and the wxwidgets code has a built process to disable auto docking. Instead of dragging a window, ctl-drag a window. I guess we can mark down that one as fixed.

I can see their point on the docking. At first it bothered me but I now set my screen up like Gil's and have no problems. Then again, I am using two screens. If I had to do this on a small screen I would go crazy. If you are going to spend thousands of dollars on props and hundreds of dollars on controllers then spend a couple of hundred $$ for a second monitor.

Thanks for taking your time and helping all of us at the expo. It was a great time and there was A LOT of info given. Also just tried holding Ctrl while moving a window i feel so dumb when the solution was so easy ha ha.. Thank you all. Hopefully it will not be a whole year before we can all get together again.

Well the developers emailed about the docking and we didn't know that feature was built-in. We talked about finding a way to add it. I think in Windows there are always standard things you should try. Always see what happens if you add the SHIFT, CTRL, and/or ALT modifier keys and always see if right-click brings up a menu of options. You can figure out half of our features by just trying some of those options.
