Title: Boscoyo "Sphere" model
Post by: KenKol on July 20, 2016, 09:17:25 AM
Does anyone have a layout for these Boscoyo "spheres"? If not, what would be the best way to lay it out? Flat? or try to give it a stretched out "shaped" look? If No one has one, I will try to lay it out flat and see where it goes.

Here is a Pic of it from the expo. I am looking for the smaller one, but the same idea will still hold true, just less lights.

I would lay it out flat.  I ran a 8x24 360-Sphere last year. I layed it out as a horizontal matrix.  For the decagon / trapezohedron,  a custom model will be your best bet.

This Excel Spreadsheet is what I pasted into Xlights. So far it looks good and the effects are really cool. I should be getting the pixels in within the next few days and I will post the results then. Until that happens, here is the file. The colored cells are strictly there to avoid confusion as to where each segment is.
