Title: A windows question If you don't mind
Post by: bpducman on August 03, 2016, 06:48:34 PM
I am using 2 monitors, the 2nd shows my whole house model. The issue I would like to address would be how to not have the glare of the first monitor affecting me being able to see the 2nd monitor more clearly.

Is there a way to accomplish this. I can only separate the monitors by so much. While the sequence is running the ideal would be to have the first monitor almost blank.

Am I dreaming

I use multiple monitors and have never experienced glare problem.   You might want to try using your monitors hardware menu to turn the brightness down.

You might try a piece of black cardstock between the monitors. It may only need to stick out a few inches.

If you turn off or cover the left monitor, does it really make a difference in viewing the right monitor? I never noticed.  Are they both in the same plane or is there an angle?

They are set at an angle and almost touch each other. The Left is shining on the right. I think I am going to get a larger table so I can separate a few inches and reduce the angle.

Thanks for the input.

I have mine touching and set at an angle. I have zero problems with glare.

Yeah don't buy those monitors that have the shiny surfaces.

Turned out to be a setting in my Multisync.

My BenQ-32 "my main monitor" was set up so bright that I thought it was causing a bit of a glare. When I turned down it down and got a good background black on the BenQ it was apparent that it was not a glare it was the Nec not getting a good background black. After a few adjust I got the NEC Multisync a lot closer to what I wanted. The NEC is going to another project and I have another BenQ-32 coming that way both will be consistent.
Like normal I spoke too soon on the forum.
I apologize to all .
