Title: The song in my sequence changed
Post by: flyinverted on August 31, 2014, 01:38:58 AM
I've been working on sequence for a few days and tonight when I went to work on it, the audio file is not the one that goes with this sequence.

I opened the .xseq file and see in fact the song is incorrect.  Not sure now the user can even change the song from within the software.

How do I change it back?

I'm using 3.4.12

Easiest way to change the song. 1) create a new sequence using the third option of open using new sound file. 2) create one row and of model and save it. For example as new. Now you have a new.xseq and a new.xml. 3) copy over the new.xml with your original xml. Open new and press save. You will have the new music file but all of your old effects and models

I found a much easier method!

1. Create a new musical sequence, choose the correct sound file.
2. Choose timing marks - Nutcracker XML, select the original XML file
3. Play and save

I am trying to follow these instructions, but xLights has the option to start a new musical sequence greyed out.
Any ideas?

It is grayed out until you put sound files into your show directory. I know you figured this out, but posting in case any one else is reading this
