I don't know if this has been asked before or even possible. It would be nice to be able to update the layer blending to a large block of selected effects with one shot, like the update button with colors or effects settings. I just had a situation where I spent a bunch of time setting up a single strand affect going left and right with different colors then I realized it didn't look very bright it turns out my out transition was set to .5

One option is create effect presets that don't have fades, etc., set. This feature is already there.
What happened to you has happened to most of us. I have just gotten used to it.

I will have to say I liked having the in-and-out transition on the same tab so you can see both at the same time. Having them separated has led to more mistakes while I'm sequencing I don't know how anybody else feels.

I agree with you. But, as they add more options/functionality real estate becomes an issue.
One thing that bites me is copying an effect and not realizing it has a fade, or blend, etc. I would like to be able to start from scratch each time I drop an effect. However, sometimes it's nice to start where you left off. So, creating an effect preset gives you a known starting point.

I still like the idea of an update button. There's many times where it would have been handy to highlight a large block of effects and change the in or out transition without affecting other any other settings. I can see where real estate would be at a premium especially on a single monitor. I've spent so much money on other things I bought a matching pair of monitors and I don't think I'd ever go back. Between that and my Bose noise cancelling headphones I'm not sure which one has made my life easier. Funny thing the headphones cost more than the two monitors.
