Post by: Need More Lights on September 27, 2016, 03:59:26 PM: OK, I just tried it and it did it again... In my main view in the sequencer , I have Porch Posts, went to the Layout, and Re-name group.. (IE Changed "Porch Posts" to "Porch posts") Go back to sequencer and it crashes...file attached. If I go to Edit Display Elements and delete it from the main view first, no problem.

Post by: Gilrock on September 27, 2016, 06:06:20 PM: Ok so now you tell us the rename involved nothing more than a capitalization change. That is useful and should have been stated up front. I didn't get a crash doing that but I did see a problem where changing the capitalization caused it to no longer show the group icon so there's problem there.

And regarding the crash you're log shows it crashed attempting to perform an Undo Move Effect operation but you didn't mention anything about Undo. But I just tried that and it didn't crash either. So I still can't reproduce your crash even when I use your files.

Post by: Need More Lights on September 27, 2016, 08:02:12 PM: That was just an example to simplify and it's what I did to generate the crash report, it does it for any change. I didn't use the undo so I have no idea what that's all about. If you'd like I'll do it again and send you the file.

Post by: Need More Lights on September 27, 2016, 08:12:58 PM: Here's the new report... I did see that the group icon didn't show up..I just thought you needed to re-load it. But when you open sequencer, open the sequence, then go to layout, change name and go back to sequencer....It doesn't do it unless there is a sequence open. that might have been useful info too, sorry.
