Have been using LOR S3 to sequence our show for the last few years. Show consists of a number of LOR AC Controllers, DC Controllers, a CCR and a number of DMX channels with dumb RGB strings
This year we are adding pixels. Built our first pixel megatree using a J1SYS P2 and started playing with XLights/Nutcacker. Probably adding a second one with another P2.
Got the model set up properly after a while of playing and reading and have it all working.
Now the biggest question I have and I want to get this right before spending time is as follows
We have a number of sequences we already built in LOR S3. I am pretty sure right now keeping S# for my main sequencer will make sense as I am used to it and don't have time to learn something new this year.
Of course I want to use XLights/NC to sequence the pixels
I know I can convert my LOR sequences to XLights.
Sequencing: Whats the best way to handle this keeping in mind that I need to be able to switch between LOR S3 and XLights/NC for sequencing pixels vs standard stuff
Show: I can play the show using LOR or I could use XLights to play the show I guess. What are the ups/downs on using either one keeping in mind the use of standard LOR controllers, DMX USB Pro and E1.31
Any help would be greatly appreciated

After wrestling with LOR's slower response with RGB sequencing, I decided to run everything from XL. I do all my LOR sequencing first, then convert in XL. Then sequence my RGB models in XL/NC and I am done. I also added some models of my LOR props in XL so I can see how it all looks together. Not as nice as Visualizer, but it works fine to help me see all the timings are in sync.
Note: I did start out with importing (or pasting) some RGB models in XL into LOR but I just was not satisfied with the speed of running the show in LOR. I am sure others have had some success this way but I chose running it all in XL.
