Title: DMX RGB Floods
Post by: smoothsa on November 02, 2016, 10:17:30 PM
How should I set up my DMX RGB Flood Lights, should I use the DMX model or something else. And, if I use the DMX model how do I get the lights to change. Do I have to use the DMX effects or will it work with any of the effects.
Thanks in advance.

Don't use the DMX model for flood lights...it's meant for lights that have pan and tilt motors.

Use the single line model and set the model to 1 node.  To make it show up in your display better, use a pixel size of 180, pixel style is blended circle, and you can adjust the transparency as well to mimic the light fall-off.  See image attached.

You can use more than 1 node to create a model with multiple flood lights.  Makes it easier to sequence effects to all floods at once.
