Post by: Boof63 on November 29, 2016, 03:52:19 AM
HI i have 20st x 75pix matrix, using a pix 4 to ocntrol. in HLs all worked , however xl4 jumbled.
1 Checked wiring correct all good.
2 renderall in xl4 v53 - all good
3 changed start position - original top left, no good - other starting corners the same - no good
4 jumbled letters as if lines are synced together.
5 checked univerese pix 4 run 4 x 375 pix, setup for sequential channels- no good
5.1 setup for univerese ie 55-57 = output 1 start ch1
       "       "       "           58-60 = output 2 start ch1
       "       "       "           61-63 = output 3 start ch1
       "       "       "           64-67=  output 4 start ch1

Letters stil are jumbled as are other effects - bars, stripes etc

any solutions greatly appreciated  !! :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

How did you check the wiring? I would check by right clicking on the model in the layout tab and looking at the node layout. This is how xlights thinks it is. Then verify off of this.

To me, the best way to test is to drop on effects at the node level. Look on the preview for the node that is lit. Now look at the real lights. Is the same node on? Go through several nodes and verify. My guess is you will see where things aren't correct.

The quickest way to solve this is show a screenshot of the controller setup, the xLights model properties for that matrix, and the setup page in xLights,
